Projects

In the Projects branch, the C/C++ Directories node tells Visual Assist X where to find headers included by your C/C++ code. Visual Assist X extracts symbol definitions from these headers. Proper setup of the C/C++ Directories node is essential for proper operation of Visual Assist X. For most users, the default values obtained from the IDE are correct. The values are read-only.

Use the Extensions node to have Visual Assist X ignore certain file extensions.

The Performance node contains options for using Visual Assist X efficiently. Use the buttons in this page to export your settings, rebuild symbol databases and clear your history, cache and temporary files.

Use the Startup node to set your preferences for showing tips and checking for new versions.

The System Info node displays information about your configuration and license. The build number of VA_X.dll is the build number of Visual Assist X. Use the Copy Info button to place system configuration information in the clipboard. Click on the Enter Key button to enter a key that takes Visual Assist X out of trial mode. You may also review the software license agreement.

The About node displays version information and contact information for Whole Tomato Software, Inc. From here you may also visit the website, documentation, user forums, and and see who has contributed to the development of Visual Assist X.
