Auto Recovery
Visual Assist X frequently saves to cache a copy of the files you modify. If your IDE inadvertantly crashes, Visual Assist X gives you the chance to restore versions from cache.
If you choose to restore, the latest copy from cache is placed in your edit window; your original file is not changed. Save your changes if you want to keep them; close your edit window without saving if you want to discard them.
If you choose not to restore, the latest version you saved manually is placed in your edit window.
Miscellaneous
The Undo buffer is restored when you restore a file from cache.
Copies are removed from cache when you close your IDE. Copies are left in cache only when your IDE does not exit cleanly. You get a prompt dialog if your IDE restarts and Visual Assist X sees copies in the cache.
This feature is enabled or disabled in the Performance page in the Visual Assist options dialog.
